FAQ

How much will my translation cost?
Each document to be translated is individually assessed according to its volume and content. Our fees therefore vary depending on several factors: in particular, the technical nature of the vocabulary, the length of the source document, the deadline required.
We can provide you with a free quote on a fee per word basis or a fixed rate for your document, upon request, taking the above factors into account.
Leodis offers a 10% discount on the first order for new clients.

How long will my translation take?
Generally speaking, we aim to translate around 400 words an hour. However, the time required for translating a document depends not only on its length, but also on its technical complexity. When placing your request, please specify your lead times, and we will inform you, in our fee quote, whether we will be able to satisfy them, bearing in mind our current workload.

How can I pay?
Payment may be made in any of the following ways :
- Bank cheques in Euros, issued by a French bank, made payable to Leodis

Why not just use an automatic online translator?
Online translators may suffice, if you only need a basic understanding of the meaning of a document. However,it is dangerous to assume that such automatic translators produce texts of sufficient quality for professional purposes.

You can test their limits by making them translate a text into another language, and then have them translate it back into the original language.
